This piece was developed from an earlier, smaller piece, also called Ovid, which was inspired by the surfaces and lines that appeared after taking a few bites out of an apple. The current piece continues the process of abstraction started with the first one and reinforces my belief that abstract sculpture lies all around us if only we are prepared to look for it.
